"Why I am involved with Somos Amigos. It is all about Joy! I love the joy that shows in the homeowners and their families when they see all that has been accomplished at the end of the workday, and see the problems that have been fixed, and the way their lives are better. There is joy in the knowledge that both my time and my money are being well spent. And, especially, I love working with my hands, and with other people. The joy I feel in being part of the workday is deeply satisfying.”

Vice Chair“ In June 2015 I became a Board Member of Somos Amigos of Northern New Mexico, after learning of their mission of bringing the people of Northern New Mexico together to improve the health, safety, and security of low income homeowners through minor home repairs. Helping the region’s low-income and youth has been a focus point of my community involvement.”

Working for a non-profit such as Somos Amigos has given me an opportunity to make a positive contribution to those individuals less fortunate than me.
