Somos Amigos makes repairs to improve the health, safety and security of low-income homeowners. If you are a low-income homeowner and need any of the repairs listed below, please complete an application and the Selection Committee will review your application and let you know their decision.

- repair and/or replace windows, wash when done
- repair and/or replace doors, inside and out
- replace non working locks on doors
- fix minor plumbing issues - leaky sink, replace toilet, change out seal on a toilet, replace water heaters
- fix holes in walls
- build ramps inside
- build ramps outside
- repair steps outside
- repair steps inside
- replace steps outside mobile homes
- concrete repair and small concrete replacement jobs
- repair or replace screens
- caulk windows, doors, and surfaces in bathrooms such as tile floors
- replace skirting
- patch stucco
- replace parts of or patch siding
- replace ceilings inside if damaged by leaky roofs
- patch flat roofs on mobile homes with liquid patch
- Fix holes in floors
- replace floors if rotten with sub floor and linoleum or vinyl tile
- put cover plates on outlets
- replace switches
- replace non-working light fixtures inside and out
- paint newly repaired surfaces including walls and doors
- install insulation
- repair sidewalks
- replace shower surround, and wall beneath it if rotten
Things we do not do:
- major electrical that involves going inside walls
- major plumbing that involves going inside walls
- replacing roofs
- major repairs on roofs
- adding rooms
- anything that is just cosmetic
